Recruitment is now open for the 2nd cohort of INQYR’s International Student Training Network (ISTN)! Potential or current graduate students (Masters or PhD) interested in research with LGBTQ+ youth are eligible to apply. Recruitment is open until June 30, 2020 or until the cohort is full.
INQYR is the International Partnership for Queer Youth Resilience, a research partnership between universities and community organizations across Canada, the US, the UK, Mexico, and Australia. INQYR is directed by Professor Shelley Craig at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto.
INQYR’s ISTN is designed to train the next generation of scholars to conduct research with Gender and Sexual Minority Youth (GSMY), with a particular focus on strengthening resilience through utilization of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in a global context.
Each ISTN cohort is a two-year commitment (September 2020 – August 2022) comprised of a series of participatory online webinars (4/year), and opportunities for research assistantships, in-person symposia, and student grants. ISTN members will be connected to, and possibly mentored by, established researchers affiliated with INQYR.
Please share the attached English and Spanish ISTN recruitment flyers with your networks.
